We are committed to helping our friends on Pine Ridge during these unprecedented times!
Families on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, where ongoing social inequities and extreme poverty already exist, are being disproportionately impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic's global, economic shock waves. We receive calls daily from tribal members asking for help with food and the necessary supplies to maintain a safe and sanitary environment. If you are looking for a way to help, please consider making a donation to our emergency action fund.
Our Pine Ridge Youth Ambassadors - and their local mentors - have identified those families in their communities who are at the greatest risk of being significantly impacted by the Covid-19 crisis. There are currently 22 families in nine communities receiving our assistance and our goal is to sustain that as long as the ripple effects of this global, economic crisis play out on Pine Ridge.
All supplies will be transported and distributed with Tribal authorization of our robust safety protocols.
