In July of 2018 there was a devastating hailstorm and tornado that tore through Pine Ridge leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. FEMA declined to provide much needed assistance and tribal officials the Tipi Raisers and our corp of volunteers to help in whatever ways we can. We responded by establishing the Race to Winterize in 2018 and brought in volunteers to work alongside paid tribal members and repair as many of those homes as possible -- as well as to cut and distribute badly needed firewood and provide needed supplies.

The Race to Winterize Pine Ridge Homes is now our annual fall push to help our Lakota friends on Pine Ridge prepare for the pending, harsh South Dakota winter!

Your support is greatly appreciated and will be used in order to have the greatest impact possible on Pine Ridge.

Wopila!
