The Lakota Ride brings healing, hope, and life-changing service to so many.

During my first trip to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in 2017, I was welcomed into the most transformative, connected, and hard-working community I have ever been a part of: The Tipi Raisers. Since that first trip, I have witnessed the ways in which The Tipi Raisers continually change lives at the Reservation and heal hearts across the country. They work tirelessly to bring much needed aid to families at Pine Ridge in the form of housing, firewood, food, clothing, and more. Even more impactful is their commitment to healing deep historical wounds between native and non-native communities. The Tipi Raisers community, especially the Lakota elders with whom they partner, have brought knowledge, wisdom, and healing to many people of all different backgrounds, including myself. In a divided time in which hearts across our nation are in need of so much healing, and in the wake of the catastrophic March blizzard at the Reservation which destroyed hundreds of homes and lives, it is more necessary than ever to support organizations like The Tipi Raisers.
