Dear friends and family,
As you may already know, the work of the nonprofit organization, the Tipi Raisers, which operates on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation is near and dear to my heart! Pine Ridge is in deep poverty and perpetual crisis related to numerous conditions and widespread intergenerational trauma. In addition, I personally benefited from Lakota traditional ceremonies that have helped me become a better person and want to give back to this community.
I would be so grateful if you would help support this organization in making a difference for families across the poverty stricken reservation.
I am especially asking to focus on raising $500 in time for this coming winter and winterizing efforts.

About the Tipi Raisers:
Tipi Raisers strives to build alliances and strengthen communities across cultures. Their volunteers work alongside the Lakota People on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, South Dakota to ease conditions of poverty, honor Indigenous wisdom, reconcile the past and learn about one another’s cultures.
Their Youth Leadership program, Gen7, convenes, mobilizes and empowers Native and non-Native young leaders; building relationships, bridging cultural gaps and providing the tools and resources necessary to bring awareness to pressing issues and make genuine change in the world around them.

Through a variety of collaborative and multicultural projects, we strive to alleviate conditions of poverty, honor Indigenous wisdom, reconcile our shared history with the Peoples of the First Nations and empower youth with the leadership skills needed to affect social change in their communities.
