Since launching the first Race to Winterize campaign in 2018, we have hosted over 150 volunteers, logged over 5,000 work hours and helped prepare nearly 100 families on Pine Ridge for winter. Due to COVID restrictions the four long volunteer weekends that were planned to run from September through mid-December, have been consolidated into one off-reservation weekend. Because of the presence of fewer volunteers we will hire more Tribal members to continue this work into the winter of 2021 - 2022!
